Good Fishing Even After a Cold Front

On today’s Lake Toho bass fishing adventure the fishing was hot and heavy. We had a cold front pass thru the area the night before and even though we were fishing right after this cold front we still caught the heck out of fish for the first hour and a half! Our peak season is finally here

Well it’s finally here once again. The beginning of our peak season for catching trophy sized largemouth on West Lake Toho. It has started off with a bang, our guided trips have been producing between 15 and 30 bass on 4 hour trips. This is the start of the pre-spawn staging period. Florida bass fishing on Lake Toho has been fast and furious. Today I had a client that was here in Central Florida on vacation with his family from England. The fall season is a transitioning time for Florida bass. Water temperatures on West lake Tohopekaliga decrease from the upper 80’s in the summer to the 70’s in the fall. The falling water temperatures on lake Toho excite bass and they become more active, feed more aggressively, and feed for longer periods of time. The increase in activity makes our bass fishing charters productive for longer periods of time.
